OWBs from the 1980s were out in force!

What's the collective noun for OWBs?  Last Friday night at the North Devon Dinner you could be excused for believing it to be a cackle!

Thanks to Richard Brend (78-83B), the Royal and Fortescue Hotel in Barnstaple hosted eighty-two of our most enthusiastic and fun-loving members for what was, for most, a memorable evening filled with fun, food, fond reminiscences, speeches, laughter and maybe the odd drink!

Alumni from the 1960s, 70s, 80s, 90, 00s, 10s and 20s joined together with former and current staff to share stories and catch up with long-lost and not so long-lost friends.  Anne Ohlmann (née Fuchs 84-85F) spoke to the assembled guests about her experience as an international student and subsequently an international parent.  There was also a short film about life at West Buckland School today - a rather more luxurious experience than many recall.

Thank you to all who attended and to Brend Hotels for keeping the bar open!
