Tom Hitchins Lunch 2023

We were delighted to welcome a select group of OWB members for our annual Tom Hitchins Lunch on Saturday 11th November.  This is the longest running OWBA reunion and celebrates the long standing relationship between WBS and Plymouth College.

The day started by marking Remembrance with a two-minute silence ahead of a closely fought rugby match against Plymouth College.  It was looking favourable for the West Buckland team in the first half but alas it was not to be the case with Plymouth stealing the points back in the second half.  Final score WBS 14 - Plymouth College 17

We then moved inside to the JESC Clubroom where the school caterers served a delicious three-course lunch and the brain cells were taxed by a quiz put together by our Archivist, Berwick Coates.  It was wonderful to welcome two members of the Hitchins family, son Bill (55-63G) and great-grandson Rasie.
