In the last Buckland Brief Col Ian Blewett put out an appeal for any former pupils who were commissioned into the Services to make contact with the view to updating the Honours Board in the Mem Hall.

OWBA – SERVICE CADETSHIPS

Here is an update on the career paths of some of our Alumni who have been serving Queen and Country…
 
Nicola Hall (02-08C): Britannia Royal Naval College Nov 13 - July 14. Joined HMS Shoreham in the Gulf.

Felix Cairns (05-10C): Regular Commissioning Course 141 on 5th Jan 2014. Commissioned into the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards on 12th December 2014.
 
Jonathan Ridley-Holloway (00-02G): Commissioned into the REME in 2010. Posted to RMB Chivenor.
 
 
Ella Gale (98-07B): Awarded a bursary for the Royal Army Veterinary Corps and enters Sandhurst in September of 2017.
 
Barrie Huxtable (85-95C) Passed the AIB and served from 97-02 during which time, he Joined 42 Commando and served in Sierra Leone. Now a civilian dentist in Bideford.
 
Natalie Wood Entered RAF Cranwell Jan 14 and I received commission in Sep 14. Now training to be an Air Traffic Controller at RAF Shawbury and will finish the course in June.
 
Lindsey Denyer (05-10F) Passed AOSB in 2011 and received a university bursary. Currently studying at RMA Sandhurst with a view to commissioning in December 2015.
 
Oliver St.John (72-78G) Sandhurst: SGC85/SGC86 - 1985-87 REME– Med Discharge L
Re-joined TAVR 1992 - RAMC(V) as Combat Medical Technician Class 1 à 217 Fd Hosp RAMC(V), 219 Fd Hosp RAMC(V), 243 Fd Hosp (V), REME(V) Training Team, Southampton OTC, 135 Sqn RE(V)
2003 Mobilised Op Telic 1 - Iraq 5 Med Regt – Cas Evac for 16 Air assault Brigade then Med Sqn at Basrah Palace
Became Instructor at ATU in Aldershot and left in 2012 – total 29 years!
 
Mark Brewer F (1995-2000)
Entered RAF Cranwell Apr 2013 and graduated Dec 2013 in Operations Support in Cambridgeshire.
 
Charles W G Brewer (89-98F)
Passed out BRNC Dartmouth Dec 06 Served in HMS Bulwark HMS Ocean as part of ATP(N). Left services following leg injury in 2007. Currently Navigating Officer on the world’s largest wind farm installation vessel "Pacific Osprey".
