Last week’s London Reunion brought together a vibrant group of 35 former pupils and staff at The Clarence pub in Mayfair for an evening of warm memories and lively conversation.

The majority of attendees were from the late 1980s and early 1990s, with a welcome mix of OWBs from earlier and more recent years. It was especially heartening to see the lengths some went to in order to attend - Simon James flew in from Spain, and Nick Brookbank made the journey from Germany, a true testament to the enduring bonds of the WBS community.

The presence of much-loved former staff - Mr and Mrs Clark, Mr Ponder, Mr Ralph, Mr Tucker, Mr Whitfield and Mrs Witheridge - added an extra touch of nostalgia, and their stories sparked many fond recollections.

It was moving to witness old friends reconnecting after decades apart - raucous laughter, shared memories, and even a few old photos made for a truly joyful evening. The London Pride was flowing, as was the pride in their old school.

Events like these are a powerful reminder of the strength and warmth of the OWB community.
