Coastal Challenge 2014

4 Nov 2014
OWBA
Twenty two parents, old boys and students congregated for this year’s Coastal Challenge to raise money for the Foundation Bursary Fund. A change from previous years as the walk started on the western side of the Torridge estuary at Brownsham Farm, near Clovelly. We were blessed with fine weather, although some would say, a little too hot for walking.

The views across to Hartland Point and beyond were breath-taking with seals spotted in the sea below the cliffs. A well-earned break for lunch at the Point Café where we picked up a few more walkers before the more challenging part of the walk to Hartland Quay ended with a refreshing pint of something cold at The Wrecker’s Retreat Pub.

An ideal day of activity combined with meeting new and old friends.
