John passed away peacefully at Sandyke Cottage, on 8th April 2023, aged 81 years. Loving husband of Margaret. Much loved Dad of Karen, Sarah and James. Special Grandad of Callum, Adam and Amy - Ava and Ellis.  Our sincere condolences are with them at this sad time.

The son of an OWB, John's association with West Buckland School was long and deep.  In September 1953 he duly joined his brother at school in the Fortescue.  At prize giving in 1956 he won the Class IIINL prize and by the time he left school three years later, he was proud to have risen to the rank of Sergeant in the Army Section of the CCF.
