Rachel Ley (90-97G) was awarded membership of the Institute of Civil Engineers, by the president of the ICE, Paul Jowitt. The presentation was held at the Institution Building at 1 George Street, London on 3rd September. Rachel is a Senior Engineer at AECOM Ltd in Exeter, where she returns to work in January after taking a three month sabbatical travelling in Australia and New Zealand.
Mike Tindal-Robertson (87-92B) writes with news of the first addition to his family “Kate and I are pleased to announce the arrival of our 1st little boy, Oliver Lawrence, weighing in at 8lb, and born on his due date on 31st August 2010. We have moved to Bourton on the Water in the Cotswolds and doing very well.”
Richard Westacott (75 84B) he has left his management role in BT after 21 years to become leader of the Kingswood Congregational Church in Bristol. He writes, “I am now in the very fortunate position of being able to get up in the morning to do what I REALLY want to do. I am still very grateful to WBS for its influence in helping me to achieve all that I have (locally and nationally within Church and Social circles), and I keep in touch with its happenings through my son's Godparents, Michael and Pat Downward and Chris Ponder.”
Terry Curtayne (51-56F) has just returned from a sailing trip on the continent and writes “The wine picture was taken in Vannes and the yacht, a Swan 43 (which is the one I brought back from the Bahamas) is moored off the Ile d'Ax where the British held Napoleon before transporting him to Plymouth and on into exile.” Births
