Tony had been living with Alzheimers but following a decline in his health, he was moved into care where he spent his last 3 weeks. He had a peaceful end and his wife and 3 boys were with him when he passed.
He joined WBS in January 1950 and left in July 1957 aged 19. He did not initially enjoy being away from home and threw himself into sport to distract himself. He was captain of the Rugby team, played in the first VI for cricket and was in the sea cadets. He was Head Prefect and won a Fortescue Medal.
After WBS Tony went on to Hull University where he met his wife Rhona on 3rd May 1958 - the day after his 20th birthday. He became a solicitor after University. The family has lived in their house in Middle Rasen for over 50 years and brought their 3 sons up there.
Rhona and Tony had a wonderful life together and were true sweethearts. Tony's contemporaries were Geoff Bayles and Phil Badcock amongst others.
The Funeral will be held at Lincoln Crematorium on Thurs 7th April 2022 at 13.10pm
