In Memory of David Lindsay (57-62B)

David Lindsay, recently died at his home in N.Queensland, Australia. He attended WBS,  from 1957 to 1962 and was in the Brereton House with his brother John.

He was very active in the House teams for a number of the sporting activities, representing the School at the National Shooting Championships at Bisley. 

After leaving WBS, he completed a Diploma Course with the Royal College of Aeronautical and Automobile Engineering in Chelsea. His time at WBS imbued him with a sprit of adventure and independence and  he soon had itchy feet. This lead him to buy a one-way ”£10 Pom” ticket to emigrate to Australia, where he spent the rest of his life, working principally in Darwin and Cairns.

He is survived by his wife and four children. Although they were separated by the continents, he and John were close in spirit and he will be missed by all his family and friends.
