To celebrate all that Mr Price has done for the Exmoor over the years, Berwick Coates wrote a poem which he presented at the Exmoor assembly. Enjoy it here...

Price Postscript

As the Exmoor says goodbye to its C.O.,
We hope that this assembly will suffice
To get across to him, to let him know,
How much we value ex-Flight-Sergeant Price.

His many varied gifts deserve promotion -
Dismantling helicopters in a trice,
Persuading farmers to accpet commotion -
We owe a lot to Squadron Leader Price.

For workshop techniques, Exmoor navigation,
For teaching, training, giving good advice,
For healthy, if exhausting recreation,
Our sincere thanks to Wing Commander Price.

For two careers successfully fulfilled -
Airman, teacher, lifetime's sacrifice.
For skills and habits patiently instilled,
Congratulations, Air Vice Marshal Price.
