Having left WBS in the late 60's, David served 22 years as a police officer in the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary.

ince retiring from the police, he has spent 14 years as a voluntary ambulance car driver in Devon and has recently relocated to Co Donegal, Ireland where he now writes and resides with his partner Jennifer Blake who produced the cover painting "A WOMAN VICTORIOUS"
 
The story begins in rural Devon in the late 1980's.
An 18 year old girl, Lucy McMurry, goes missing after a party in the village hall. Some 20 odd years later, her father, returns to Devon in search of closure.
 
Drawing inspiration on his old school days there is a reference to Dozy Barn which is based on a location was not far from West Buckland. Much of the chapter was inspired by one of his old school essays
