Cassy took over as Head of Pre-Prep and Nursery in 2013 when Mary Dendle was the Deputy Head in the Prep School. In fact, Mary thinks that the most successful day she spent at West Buckland was the day she helped to appoint Cassy. Mary describes Cassy as “a lady who always went the extra mile for each and every child, speaking of them and to them with genuine affection and respect. She was one of the best teachers I have ever had the privilege to work with.”

Cassy has many qualities.  She has grown the younger end of the school with her integrity and kindness and core values which all the parents and staff admire. She is always wise, unflappable and level-headed.

Moreover, Cassy is a person you can trust with your mental well-being, your career and your sense of worth as a member of staff. She is a real team player. Clearly parents recognise that she can be trusted with their most precious possessions on a daily basis.

Cassy is cultured. Her manners are impeccable. Her moral compass unwavering. She is brave, honourable and strong and can always be counted upon to stand up and do the right thing. She is humble and discreet. She is always appreciative of everything that her staff and children do.

We are very grateful that she and Bob will be resident in West Buckland village and we hope to see plenty more of them in the future.
