Craig Overton (05-12 C) has been selected for the England Lions at the county ground in Taunton to play in the triangular series involving New Zealand A and Sri Lanka A which starts on August 5th.

When he heard the news the 20 year old who is enjoying the best season of his career said:  “I wasn’t really expecting it but it is always nice to get the call up so I will go out there and do my best. “When I started the season after coming back from injury I didn’t expect to be playing for the Lions so soon but I have to carry on bowling the way I am and keep putting in the performances like I have been.” He added: “Hopefully there will be a bit of a crowd here at Taunton to cheer the side and I’m hoping that I am playing.”

Craig has been involved with the Lions before and went to Australia with them the winter before last. The six match series gets underway on Tuesday August 5th when New  Zealand A take on Sri Lanka A at the County Ground in Taunton.
