A Light Shining Through

We have lived through a time,

That we’ve never known,

Where love was kept distant,

Shared in words just alone.

Yet in spite of it all,

We have soon learned to cope,

To have faith in the future,

Would bring us all hope.

Advice and compliance

We all took on board,

Whilst those heroes unsung,

We were proud to applaud.

New friends we’ve discovered,

Acts of kindness we’ve shared,

And in so many ways,

Strangers have shown they’ve cared.

And nature as well,

Has played its own part,

With colour and flora

To life up each heart.

Through all our dark days,

A light has still shone,

The gift of friendship and our families,

Has guided this journey we’re on.
