Our thanks to Rob Schofield (04-11F) who is this week’s online guest speaker at the WBS Careers Lunch.
Rob left West Buckland in 2011 and went on to study History at The University of Nottingham. There he enrolled in the student radio station and discovered his passion for broadcasting. A dissertation on the city's sporting history helped him achieve a 1st Class Undergraduate Degree and caught the attention of local station, BBC Radio Nottingham in 2014 where he began working as a freelancer.
Rob moved to Manchester 2 years later and has established himself as a broadcast journalist at BBC Sport. He shares his time working in radio, producing and presenting on Radio 5Live, Radio 2, Radio 4 and the BBC World Service as well as reporting on the BBC Sport Website, BBC News Channel and at Premier League football grounds.
