Ben Vellacott (09-11 B), a former West Buckland School pupil, scored Scotland’s only try in the final minute during their Under 20 RBS Six Nations match versus Ireland at Athlone, which resulted in Scotland’s defeat 34-7.

Ben left West Buckland following his GCSEs for Ivybridge College and has since gone on to have great success on the rugby pitch.  He has represented Devon at under-15 and under-18 and was a member of both the Exeter Chiefs and Worcester Warriors academies.

Now at Hartpury College, where he is studying sports coaching, Ben has played for Scotland under-17 and under-18 levels, as well as playing for National Two South Leaders, Hartpury College and Worcester Warriors.
