The Exmoor run takes place on Tuesday 1st April and registration is now OPEN!
We invite all OWBs and Parents (current and former) to join in this legendary school event. Entry fees support our Foundation bursary programme, for which we are extremely grateful.
The Long Race consists of a walk of eight miles to the start and a run of ten miles back to the school.
The Short Race is a walk of six miles and a run of seven miles, this year starting at Heasley Mill.
The entry fee is £35 (to include refreshments in the JESC, a packed lunch and refreshments on completion). Current HE Students £25
This year, we are also raising funds for the Hardship Fund, which supports families facing financial uncertainty and hardship, ensuring students can remain in school during crucial moments of their education. If you would like to contribute to this important cause, please select the option during registration.
Order of events - please note that timings are provisional and will be confirmed nearer to the event.
8.40 am - Exmoor Assembly (optional to guests) in the Sports Hall
Long Race
8.45-9.25am - OWBA registration in the Club Room on the first floor of the JESC
9.40am - Depart from the Memorial Hall
11.40am - Gather at the Poltimore Arms for refreshments, ready to walk on to Kinsford Gate.
1pm - Race Start
Short Race
9.40-10.20am - Registration in the Club Room on the first floor of the JESC
10.35am - Depart from the Memorial Hall to Heasley Mill Village Hall car park
1.10 pm - Race Start
