I’m really pleased to be able to say that we’re able to have our Bisley shoot this year.
The format of the day will be as follows
12:00-13:30 Meet at Short Siberia (map attached) for lunch and a catch up.
14:00-16:00 Shoot at 200 yards
17:15-18:15 Shoot at 500 yards
18:15- Prize giving.
The 200 yard shoot will be for the club championship (Squires Cup) plus other spot prizes (best first sighter, best V bull etc) and to select the team of five for the Veterans’ match. The team will then compete in the Veterans’ match and following that anyone else who wishes to shoot at 500 yards can have a crack, the top score will win the Sanders Memorial Cup.
Approximate costs will be £40 membership for those who haven’t already joined, £10 plus £1 per round at 200 and 500 yards. The more people that shoot, the cheaper it will be! If you know of anyone that might be interested in coming along please can you forward this email and ask them to get in touch. As the event is before the 19th we still need to be COVID compliant, in reality that means masks need to be worn if you share the firing point with someone else. We have four certified shooters who will coach one to one those who don’t have the necessary qualifications.
Please can you email me back to tell me if you’re a definite, a maybe or you can’t attend as I can adjust the target bookings or even enter a second team as required. We have a couple of shelters just in case the weather is less than perfect. If everyone brings a little extra food we can have tea and cake after the prize giving. Can all those with silverware please bring it back, thanks.
