Your Invitation to a Farewell Evening for John & Lynne Vick : Friday 24th June

  The Governors, Foundation, OWBA and Parents’ Association look forward to welcoming you tomorrow, to bid John & Lynne Vick a fond farewell. Farewell   We are expecting over 350 members of the West Buckland Community to join us. With this in mind, we have provided some information to help the evening run smoothly.           Event: Farewell to John & Lynne Vick Date: Friday 24th June Time: 7 for7.30pm until 9.30pm Venue: Jonathan Edwards Sports Centre Dress code: Smart Casual Adults Only   Car Parking: Please follow the signs provided. There will be parking assistance available should it be required.   Book of Farewell & Best Wishes:  There will be a specially produced leather bound book available on the night for anyone to record farewell messages to John & Lynne. The book will be available at the Jonathan Edwards Sports Centre (JESC) Reception (by the front door). Could anyone wishing to leave a message, please make their way to that area sometime during the evening.   The Hog Roast (and vegetarian alternative) is kindly provided free of charge by the PA and OWBA who will also be manning the cash bar in the JESC. Weather permitting, Emma Kent and a group of her very talented school musicians will be entertaining us outside throughout the evening.   The forecast is looking fine from 6pm onwards. Please join us in wishing any rain clouds away!   West Buckland Celebration of the Arts Saturday 25th June  Summer Exhibition 2016 Final And finally, we do hope you can join us in Exeter the following day for a Celebration of the Arts and what promises to be a spectacular day, displaying the best that the school can offer in music and art. This year’s Summer Exhibition, with works on show from our Year 12 and 13s will be on display in The Brook Gallery, just off the Cathedral Square, with a private viewing day for West Buckland parents and friends from 12pm to 5pm armed man In the evening, the combined West Buckland Choirs and Chorus will be performing the dramatic and haunting The Armed Man by Karl Jenkins, accompanied by the North Devon Sinfonia, from 7.30pm, in the Cathedral. For tickets, please click here    Prior to the concert, we hope you can join us for a sumptuous pre-concert High Tea, at ABode Exeter, from 5pm onwards. High Tea at Abode Overlooking Exeter Cathedral, ABode (formally The Royal Clarence Hotel) is centrally located in the heart of the beautiful Cathedral Yard.
