What are we doing in the Campaign? We are approaching approximately 40 Trusts & Foundations for funds for the Study Centre project, some of whom have generously funded us before. We will also approach corporates and businesses who are connected to the school to see if they would be willing to support the project. There will be one opportunity available to donate to the boarding house, which will be targeted towards past boarders and parents of boarders. This will be to sponsor and name one of the 70 rooms in the new facility. More information on this will be sent out in early 2015. This is the only fundraising we will do for the boarding house as the main thrust of the campaign is focused on the Study Centre. There will be a telephone campaign for parents, ex-parents and alumni at the end of June 2015. This will be our first campaign for three years and the first time that both Year 13 leavers and ex-pupils now at university will be able to call people. It serves a dual purpose actually, as it is a great way for us to keep people up to date with what is happening at the school and share their news since leaving WBS. Letters will be sent out to people about this in April/May next year and anyone who does not wish to be contacted in this way will be immediately withdrawn. We are aware that it is not everybody’s cup of tea. Finally, in September 2015 we plan to run a small “Make a Mark” campaign where people will be able to contribute to an art installation we wish to build in the outside space between the new buildings which will become the hub of campus.
