Fortescue Medals Presented to 1940’s Old Boys

Last Saturday’s Speech Day was especially poignant. We had the privilege of being part of a special moment when three Old Boys who were at WBS in the 1940’s were presented with their Fortescue Medals which due to medal shortages during the war, they did not receive at the time. Gerald Matthews (42-49G) Alvin Mason (40-45C) and Colin Blackwell (38-45B) (R-L) were joined by some of their school friends from over 60 years ago for a reunion lunch in the Karslake.   Fortescue medalists 1 (800x533) 1940s (800x533)
