  Verdi Requiem The beautiful surroundings of Exeter Cathedral provided a fitting stage for West Buckland School and the North Devon Sinfonia to deliver a magnificent performance of the powerful, moving and awe-inspiring choral masterpiece Requiem by Giuseppe Verdi… Thai Reunion The Headmaster, John Vick was in Bangkok in March, hosting a reunion at the Elysian Tea House which is owned by the Hoontrakul family who have had many generations attend the school.  Extraordinarily, the reception was held in The Brereton RoomHoebridge Golf Twenty two parents, old boys and students congregated for this year’s Coastal Challenge. A change from previous years as the walk started on the western side of the Torridge estuary at Brownsham Farm, near Clovelly… Twenty ‘old boys’ met recently at Hoebridge Golf Club in Woking, Surrey for a day of golf.  However, the localised storm prevented the players from stepping onto the course… Coastal Challenge Twenty two parents, old boys and students congregated for this year’s Coastal Challenge. Normally, visitors would be reminiscing that rain and wind was the norm and we just had to ‘get on with it’. Raincoats and warm clothing would be an absolute certainty on a visit to West Buckland, but not on Saturday 21st June.
