September Dinner 2010

OWBA members and their partners were invited to an informal evening at the Stag’s Head in Filleigh during the September Weekend.  The evening started with a welcoming drink, courtesy of the OWBA, followed by dinner from the Stag’s extensive menu.  It was a fun evening, an enjoyable end to a full and hectic day, and a great spread of ages who all had lots of tales to tell from their time at school and their life since. We would especially like to thank John and Sue Pryor and their team at the Stag’s Head for helping make it such a lovely night, particularly as the pub has a place in the heart of many an Old Boy and Girl. I think Charles Tippet summed the night up perfectly when he wrote in to say: “I had a very enjoyable evening. Not only to catch up with my contemporaries, but also to be able to sit and chat in very sociable surroundings to more recent leavers. The Stags Head is a good venue, as it is a familiar place and the food is good. This put everyone, instantly, at their ease.” Kirsti Ryall (83-90C)
